Although it's only 10.50 i'm super late in sharing this but I just had to tell y'all! *side eyes my twitter timeline*. Anna Dello Russo is releasing an accessories line for H&M!! I'm borderline excited (although i never learn my lesson with H&M collaborations because i always end up disappointed) however, this might be different because it's accessories AND Anna Dello Russo so..... nuff said. I'm praying to the fashion Gods that this doesn't end up being a tacky Claire's accessories replica and actually something I'd want to wear (alongside my broke&living pieces ;) ).

So our final project (EVER) was to create a fictional business (fashion related) and present our business plan to a panel of investors. The investors would then decide whether or not our business was good enough to put money into. We chose to open a high end menswear boutique called James McQuoie which was a blend of Nomad, Oliver Spencer and Ruins...long story short our presentation went well and I just wanted to show you the little folders I made for the investors that included our lookbook, store invites, and product assortment.

I thought it was super cute and has given me an idea for some other thangs.... Goodday.

Ever have your head so far in your own life that you don't realize what is really happening around you? I have definitely become a victim of head in my ass syndrome only because the past couple of months have been intense!! However, today i took the time out to google broke&living and came across two things that I was not aware of!

The past few weeks and the next three to come have been and will be the most intense in my school career. However in a few it shall all be over and worth it. I don't know about you but I'm easily annoyed by nosy people. Inquiring minds my ass. You have the right to ask questions but that doesn't mean I have to answer them. Upset? I must have hurt your feelings. Sweetie, just because social networks have made spying easier doesn't mean it's okay. After thoroughly researching someone via twitter and reading their blog religiously you feel like you know them, you may even feel like you're entitled to share your opinion with them ....and you are but somethings are better left unsaid. Use your discretion wisely. Approach is everything, so you keep cyber stalking and let me know how that works for you. You may be better off hiding behind your screen.

My mind likes to wander and usually ends up at this one particular spot. The happy place is what i call it (sounds lame but hear me out) At this point everything is exactly how I want it to be...career, love, family, spiritual clarity. The issue is the journey, all the stuff you go through in order to get to that happy place. How do you know you're making the right decisions? How do you know your actions will actually get you to that happy place? As a Capricorn I need stability I need safety, I need to have a plan and be sure that it will get me to my end destination safely. However over the past year i've learned that plans don't always work out, and doing things because it seems safe and might guarantee something never gets the results I hope for. So now i'm working on not focusing so much on lists and plans and just doing what feels right. It's a scary thing not knowing but the journey is what makes the end result that much more gratifying. I want to get to that happy place.

I always find it super awkward when I have to chase down someone or tap them on the shoulder and ask them to take pictures of them...yet somehow I can't help it. The weather brought out all the prints and pretty colours today and I just couldn't help myself ..These were from my phone and some of them deleted by accident (sorry!) pero the city's lookin' good!

The last pic was taken just because I liked the way my shoes looked with the skirt...sorry :).

I feel like we haven't really been interacting with followers on here and I came across this very interesting article in Vogue Italia while browsing through some blogs and I thought it would be the perfect way to get the ball rolling here.

Vogue Italia's latest issue with Joan Smalls on the cover had the title #overthetop and featured an editorial shot by Steven Meisel. (Let me remind you that this is the same publication that released the article regarding "slave earrings that were worn by women of colour during the slave trade" - which they have now changed to Ethnic Earrings) Now i'm very sure most of you have seen these images (the originals) floating around on the internet, we shake our heads at them, we laugh, and are sometimes embarrassed. How does one feel about this when a high fashion publication pokes fun at these images with super models (Joan smalls, Coco Rocha, Lindsey Wixon, Abbey-Lee Kershaw, Jessica Stam) ?

What bugs me about this is..it is quite obvious the type of demographic they are poking fun at...and that they have an African American model on the cover as well as part of the editorial.

So..my question is.. what are your thoughts about this spread..?

Why are you here? What's your real purpose in life? What are your goals, your dreams, your aspirations? What is really stopping you from accomplishing these goals and living life to your full potential? Ask yourself these questions and be 100% with yourself...complete and total honesty. You wanna be rich? BE RICH! Dreamt of being a pirate? BE ONE! The only thing that's really stopping you is yourself...as cliche as it sounds it's beyond the truth and means so much more than these words. If you really want to be happy and live life and become the amazing person you've envisioned yourself to be, the first step is being real with you and then acting on it. Don't worry so much about the result; if things are meant to be..everything will fall into place (my apologies for all these cliches!)
